These scissors are stainless steel and rustfree. They were made in Germany and have Soligen- Germany on them. They are excellent and have lasted for many years. I like these scissors because they are a bit smaller than the full size scissors. This has made them excellent for my crafts and my sewing. They have blue handles and were made tough and durable. I would say that they are a great value after having them this long. I am not sure if the company who made them is still in business because these are old. Mine have the number 797 on them. It looks like they will last many more years and so I will not have to buy anymore. I believe that they will outlast my lifetime and maybe go on through another generation. I have been cutting everything with them from all types of materials to threads.I must say that I have also trimmed my bangs with them a few times. Krownsax made their scissors to go the distance. Quality and long lasting value for the consumers, with one of the most high quality pair of scissors ever produced.
