We like to grind our own coffee beans at home, rather than buy them pre-ground. Grinding our own beans gives us fresher tasting coffee. This Krups coffee bean grinder was one of the best small kitchen appliance purchases we have made. We have had our grinder for years and it still works great!
It does not take long to grind your own beans with Krups. You pour the beans into the base of the grinder, put the lid on, and press down on the lid for 15 seconds. That's it! Then you transfer your finely gound beans from the grinder into your coffee maker. Krups will grind up to 3 oz of beans at a time.
This grinder is about 6" high and 3.5" wide. Our model is white but it also comes in black. It is made of plastic outer and metal on the inside. Krups is an electric grinder. The blade inside the grinder is very sharp, like a food processor. You would need to keep item safely out of children's reach.
This grinder is easy to grip due to the oval design. This grinder will also work with nuts, spices, and whole grains, but we have only used ours for years of fresh tasting, freshly brewed, delicious coffee. I highly recommend the Krups whole coffee bean grinder.
The only flaw I see in this otherwise terrific product, is that once the beans are ground, when you lift the top cap, some ground beans spill out of the unit due to the opening being on a slant.
