Kryptonite Locks By mkvli357 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Where I go to school, almost every student has either a bike or a skateboard, but most of us bike to school. I have used this brand for about two years now and it's served me well. However, after a day of rain, the bike lock has gotten rusty and every now and then, I have trouble trying to unlock this security device.

It is of good quality when you consider the low crime rate my school has. It generally can withstand most heavy duty tools designed for breaking thick metal. However, with enough persistence and force, it will break (I had to get one cut before).

I would have paid extra for the more heavy duty U-lock but I did not think it was worth it because of the fact that its bulky size could become cumbersome.

Regardless, so far after two years of using, this lock has proven to be a decent buy. It works well enough in my area, and it is relatively light. Almost everyone should be able to use it with ease -- unless it rains!

This seems like it is a safe & sturdy lock.
