L-Carnitine
By Rae777 onI was online one day when I saw article about vitamin and minerals that were supposed to be good for helping one to lose weight, boost energy, improve memory and a number of other healthful benefits.I had beenfeeling rundown so I decided to try a nutrient that was suppose to help one lose weight, give one more energy, and improve one's memory. The name of this nutrient is Carnitine. It is a derivative of two amino acids called lysine and methionine. Carnitine is generally already found in the body and is sometimes prescribed for people who have deficiencies. I generally don't believe in taking extra minerals, vitamins etc.but I decided to give this one a try.
I took 1000 mg a day of this nutrient for six weeks.I did not notice anything different in the way I felt. It did not seem to help me in any area as it was advertise to. I think I willrely on better eating habits, more sleep and regular doctor visitsto boost energy and improve cognitive function.

I use this amino acid for cell health and growth. It seems to help me in that area, plus I have a little more energy. The energy could also be from the Vit E that I take every day. :-) But, I am more worried about cell health at this particular time with my disease.
Good point. This amino acid could very well have unseen benefits.
