Labyrinth On Dvd By schimj on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Labyrinth on DVD is a movie starring David Bowie and Jennifer Connellly that came out in 1986. The movie was produced by Jim Henson of Muppets fame, and you can deffinatly see that in some of the "supporting roles," as they are puppets that look rather muppet-like. It is a fantasy movie in which Connelly plays a young girl who is babysitting her brother, and he is take away into a labyrinthine maze, and she needs to find him based off of a series of cryptic clues given by Bowie, who plays the Goblin King. It is a great family movie, and I remember seeing it on a movie day in grade school many years ago, and I really enjoyed it then, and it is still fun now, even though it may look a little dated. All of the performances are great, and it is fun for all ages. Bowie also performs all the movie's soundtrack and score. I think that the DVD release is full of interesting features, including making of documentaries.
