Lancome Le Rouge Absolu Lipstick In Crushed Rose By RachelReviews on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Lancome Le Rouge Absolu Lipstick in Crushed Rose is a dream to apply! It is very hydrating and has a very creamy texture. The main caveat of the lipstick its' fragrance which is a combination of Play-Doh and dead flowers. Initially, the perfume of the lipstick is nauseating. Luckily, somehow, the odious scent wears off as time goes by until it is not noticeable at all . The lipstick is heavily-pigmented. One coat leads to a vivid, medium-pink rose look. Due to its' creamy texture, the lipstick does go outside the edges of my lips at times, especially when I rub my lips together out of habit. In other words, it is not completely budge-proof.
The best part of Crushed Rose is its' color. It is definitely one of those colors that can suit a variety of skintones, hair colors and eye colors. I am fair and Caucasian, with black hair and brown eye, and it suits me very well. Even without any other makeup, Crushed Rose would make me look put together and polished.

Sounds good, just a shame about the scent! LOL at Play-doh and dead flowers!
I know, right? It really would be a *great* lipstick, if not for the scent. All of the Lancome lipsticks I have tried have that same smell. P.U.!
