I decided to branch out and try an author that was new to me. I decided to try Nicci French and her last novel Land of the Living. This is a pretty good mystery.

The novel is about a young woman named Abbie who awakes to find herself in the dark. As she awakens she realizes someone has kidnapped her and has her tied up in an old dark building. She eventually escapes but that's not what the story is about. The story starts when she she tries to regain some control over her old life which she is having trouble remembering. No one is completely sure if she was kidnapped, if her kidnapper is still after her or if she is imagining the whole episode.The race to find answers is on as Abbie takes on investigating her own case.

This is a pretty good mystery but the ending is a little unsatisfying. I really expected there to be some complicated explanation for what was going on. However, I will try more of French's books.
