Lane Bryant Woman Within
By Rae777 onA warning to women buying pants from Lane Bryant/Woman Within/ Roaman's: In my opinion their pants are poor fitting unless you buy their leggings. I have tried about 7 different styles of their pants and jeans and all of them have huge legs on them. If you like the old fashioned look of wide legged pants you will love these. I do not have small legs either lol. I tried a pair from them recently. I saw a pair of jeans in their catalog. I went online and ordered them. Now the picture shows a pair of pants that fit the model nicely. The description says this are nice fitting tapered leg jeans. I got the pants and the legs were the widest legs I have ever seen in my life. I measured the thigh and it was 38 inches around. The ankle measure 22 inches and they were not flared or bell bottoms! So unless you like wide legged pants be careful because when I bought mine I payed 32 dollars and I ask for a refund and they gave me $19.75 back so you lose alot in shipping and return charges. However, their denim leggings are pretty nice. Expensive, but nice lol.
I don't think I've ever ordered pants from them. But I have gotten shirts for myself and my mom. They were larger than a regular stores (ie. if you regularly get XL then L would probably work). So, I guess I'm not surprised to learn the pants are soo roomy. But I'm disappointed :0(
You know what? You are right! One of my dear friends shops at Lane Bryant & had the exact same problem you wrote about...she is now trying to find another store that will find pants that fit her better. I hope you've been able to find somewhere that have pants just for you!!
I don't shop at Lane Bryant myself but it does not sound like their return policies for online items are very good. This is one of the resons I am so hesitant about purchasing clothes online. I never know exactly how something is going to fit and it is way too much trouble not to mention a possible loss of money like you had, if you have to return it.
I have been perturbed at LB for years because they don't use plus size models to model thier clothing. I am a big woman and it perturbs me to see plus size clothing modeled by regular sized women.
