I was pretty skeptical to read this book. It was a gift from my mom and our tastes in books are very different. I read the first chapter one night before I went to sleep and was feeling like I was being rushed into knowing Tara and her friends. I decided to still give it a chance and before I knew it I was sucked in. All of a sudden I was on chapter 31! I just couldn't put the book down.

The story revolves around Tara, Fintan, Katherine and Liz. Tara, Fintan, and Katherine were childhood friends from Knockavoy, Ireland. Liz had become a roomate to them once Fintan moved in with his lover, "the Itallian Pony". (Too petite to be a stallion".)

All of a sudden Their lives begin to change drastically. They all come face to face with self realization. This gets sparked right after Tara's 31st birthday once they find out that their beloved Fintan might die. Will Tara ever leave her horrible boyfriend and get over her fear of being in the last chance saloon? Will Liz dump her married man romance? Will Katherine ever have a romance? Most importantly will FIntan get better?

A great book and a quick read.
