Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is perhaps the best of the Law & Order series. The actors are Christopher Meloni, Mariska Hargitay, Richard Belzer, Ice-T, Dan Florek, and Stephanie March for the fifth season. However, the role of the A.D.A is replaced with Diane Neal in mid season when March's character is forced to leave the show. The SVU squad specialize in sex crimes.

The complete season five DVD set offers 22 episodes that run roughly 44 minutes each - give or take a few. The video image quality is as good as the regular DVD can get. It's unfortunate Universal has not released them in HD DVD, although it is probably unnecessary. Also, it comes in Dolby 2.0 audio.

The extras are really not that impressive for the most part. It is just some small blurb on some episodes and some of the actors doing some interviews.

The episodes are top notch, and always entertaining. Season five is filled with very interesting stories that also borrow from real life crime cases. The impressive acting in this show is definitely something that should be noted.
