Lazy Boy... For The Not So Lazy Gardener... By Steve Collier on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Wheather you are a novice gardener, or have years of experience, one thing all gardeners have in common... We all need reliable equipment you can count on year after year... Lazy Boy came out with a line of garden tillers several years ago... If I'm not mistaken, Western Auto was one of the few places you could find one back then ... I'm really not sure if Lazy Boy still makes a tiller because I haven't been shopping for one in a long time... The fact is... I really don't need a new one...
I own a Lazy Boy tiller that was bought over ten years ago, and its still running strong... Maybe its because of the dependable 5 horse power Briggs & Stratton engine... Or it could be the tines are chain driven... Perhaps its because it was manufactured by (Parmi Tool Co. Inc., Lynn Indiana)... Either way, I know with just a little annual maintenance (like changing the oil and filters, and checking the belt for cracks whice operate the chain drive for the tines...) I can count on Lazy Boy year after year to help me get the job done ! I've owned other tillers, but none can really compare to this workhorse... Its that good !!!
Lazy Boy 5 hp Purchased at: Western Auto Price: $479.00

I have three parts tillers and one running. These are very dependable, but the site has no replacements for the shaft. This tiller I think can still be found, not sure, it has been a few years. Mine are pieces made into one good one, lol.
"bought over ten years ago, and its still running strong... " that is more than enough to show how good this tiller is.Thanks for sharing such good tools with us.
I thought they made furniture only. Sounds like their good at making gardening tools too!
The longevity of this tiller is amazing. I'm with Rae777 I thought Lazy Boy only made furniture. Interesting.
I have thought about buying a tiller but never have, but thisone sounds like it is one that you have to buy once and it last. Thanks for sharing.
I like this review. You did a great job
