Leaky Cyclones By joojifish on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Alright, I'll admit I strayed from Nalgene to buy a Cyclone water bottle because of the Cyclone's lower price. The straying was a mistake. This water bottle has committed the cardinal sin of leaking on items in my backpack (acting as the final straw for my ailing laptop, no less), which prevents me from recommending it to anyone. Perhaps the leakage was due to me not screwing on the cap tightly enough, but this is not a problem I've ever had with my Nalgenes. In addition, any water the Cyclone cap catches while I'm filling my bottle leaks out when I screw on said cap. Again, not a problem I've noticed with any Nalgene bottles I've owned. The bottle is polycarbonate and doesn't impart any weird flavors to the water, but that's about the only good thing I can say.
