We had purchased one of the leap pad's for my then 5 year old twin brother and sister. I really feel that the age levels were set appropirately. It taught them both to read. They were able to sound out words that they didn't know how to read. They would sit for many hours reading their books and doing the other activities that were included with this particular set. They were very proud of themselves when they finally learned hor to read. I again very much feel that this helped improve their reading skills. They learned to read by the end of Kindergarden, when all of their other friends learned in first grade. I was extremely proud of them for their accomplishments. I would definatly recommend other people to purchase the system. It's amazing!
