Leap Frog Junior Explorer Globe By cafn8me on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Although I generally LOVE LeapFrog products, and have bought many of them through the years for my children, this product was a huge disappointment. It offers very little in the way of detail, depicting only continents and oceans - no individual countries. There is way more emphasis placed on the animals and the search game than to actual geography. I know that this is the junior version, but there really is nothing to be learned from it.

The manufacturer's recommended age for this toy is 3 years old, but I think it's much better suited to a child of about 2. The voice of the toy has a very sing-song quality to it. That might be appealing to a younger child, but my kids found it irritating and babyish.

My advice: Get the Explorer Globe instead. It's pricier, but definitely more worth the money!
