Leap Frog Learn Groove Counting Maracas By Tamara Walter on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

About two months ago when I was at Walmart I saw the LeapFrog Learn & Groove Counting Maracas marked down from $15 to $10, so I decided to buy them for my then 8 month old Son thinking he would absolutely love them!

When I got home I was so excited to give them to him, but as it turned out, they scared him to death! Everytime I turned them on and tried to get him to play with them, he would be happy at the music, but as soon as a bunch of children said "Yay!", he started screaming his head off!

The age group for this toy is 6 to 36 months, and maybe it's just my Son, but I had to take them away from him. Thankfully his birthdays coming up so we'll see if he enjoys them when he's a little older or not. But I felt so horrible after his reaction to the toy.

I would also like to mention that I was disappointed that only one of the maracas made sound and the other one was like a giant rattle, I thought they would make sound simentaniously with eachother or something. I also like that it talks in English and Spanish, and that you can switch the languages at will.
