Purchased at: Game Stop     Price: $30.00 USD

I've taken over 12 years of Spanish in the American education system and can barely speak a word. I understand and can say very basic things. I am interested in learning a second language but at the same time the price was a major factor against it. I noticed this game so I decided to pick it up.

The game works best with a pair of headphones so you can hear pronunciation clearly. You're taken through lessons learning vocabular, conjugations, and sentence structure. Each lesson has exams and mini-games like flash cards with time limits to help you memorize new terms and words. You play with the interactive touch screen on the DS.

Like anything, it takes a lot of time and dedication. You can't just play once a week for a few minutes because you'll forget the lessons. Lessons also go by very quickly, so you may have to repeat them several times.

The game also comes with a built in English-Spanish dictionary as well as the ability to record yourself pronouncing words and the ability to check by listening to how its pronounced.

If you have a basic background in the Spanish language, this game can really help you out. And if you're currently enrolled in a Spanish class, this is a great study guide because it makes learning the language easy and helps you to memorize things as opposed to just staring into a textbook.
