In my wisdom i decided to crochet a throw for my little dogs basket, only to find i hadn't got a clue where to start. I had already purchased a hook and some yarn, not realising how many different sizes of hooks there were, and not to mention the amount of wool i would require. So i decided to "Amazon" it, and found a great how to do book by Sue Whiting. Learn to crochet is self explananatory, its a book for complete novices of the crochet world. Sue explains in step by step detail how to crochet from a small blanket to the more braver projects like making a babys cardigan. The book explains and breaks down terminology of special techniques used in some patterns. Treble stitch, chain stitch, and others are shown step by step in colour illustrations. I made my dogs blanket, and later made a wonderful crochet shoulder bag.

This sounds like a great book for beganner. I have been crocheting since I was 6, I think. The knitting is would I never figured out.
I love crocheting but have been away from it for so long that now I need a book to brush up on. This might be the one.
