Learning through playing
By Chris Kong onThis is again one of the many science toys I have bought for my science club to let children experience the fun of learning science. It is basically a microscope that comes with a software to be connected to the USB port and seeing all the wonderful specimens on our computer monitors!! Gone are the days when the poor kids have to squint their eyes through that eyepiece struggling to see the magnified images!!
Strong points: Once the image is on the computer screen, it can be studied and observed by all present to discuss and study the specimens together as compared to looking through the eyepiece alone. It makes group discussions so much easier. You can see the joy and excitement on the students' faces be it a simple ant or just a piece of hair as specimen. Moreover if they like the images so much they can even save it and use as screensaver on their computers.
Cons: None that I can think of.

Nice to know of this. I can't remember how long its been since I looked through a micro-scope. This sounds better for sure. Thx.:)
Always a good idea to make learning fun!
What a big improvement over just looking at an image and then it is gone after class. You can bring back the image via computer for reinforcement or further details.
This is such a great teaching tool for kids!
Computer microscope sounds something very exiting scientific instrument. I wish these were developed at our times (college days). We had trouble viewing the microscope through the small eye piece.
