These acrylic leg warmers I bought from Ellos.com last year are VERY comfortable to wear. They stretch nicely around my thighs but they don't go down whenever I move a lot, either. I LOVE the colour since it's neutral and since I'm short, it can cover up to 10 cm of my thighs down to my ankle.

Why do I prefer wearing leg warmers? Well, winter in Northern Lapland can be harsh and cold, but when you visit someone's house, inside there'll be heaters, so you only need to cover yourself up very well outside, whereas inside you don't need to wear that many layers. When you're wearing leg warmers, they're easy to take off if you feel too hot inside someone else's house.

I've worn these leg warmers a number of times and they always provide me with warmth even when the cold wind is blowing! I just LOVE them! I don't know how long they will last, though, as I've only had them for a year, but I hope they'll last long enough, since they're really comfy and for me, comfort is number one compared to style. Even so, don't you think these leg warmers look elegant anyway?
