My son owns this and I must tell you he LOVES it and asks for more and more sets. They are not very inexpensive but the quality is very good. The book that comes with each set has a list of the many other things you can make with the set you have. it tells step by step how to make each thing and the directions are very simple to read. My son was able to build the set shown with no help at all from us on his own when he was 8 years old.

He plays with them for hours and comes up with all kinds of things. I would recommend these sets to really anyone at all who has kids that like to build or be creative. If you check with the Lego site you often can find specials as well. I would recomment that if you order for Xmas you do it very early . they often end up on back order for there exclusive sets . they do send a note though explaining to kids that its coming and that "santa" is making it and will get it to you asap if you want them too. I had this set up and with in a week of my order I had my items!

they are very helpful on the phone when ordering from the lego site. I would buy at there site again in a heartbeat.
