Lego Star Wars Imperial Landing Craft By Mom2One on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My son received this Star Wars Imperial Landing Craft Lego set for his birthday. It is somewhat expensive costing $49.99.

It has 471 pieces and the Imperial Landing Craft when finished measures over 12 inches long. It comes with twin blaster cannons and bombs. The mini figures in this set are cool, it comes with 2 sandtroopers and 2 stormtroopers with blasters.

The wings are moveable and it also has a pilot control center.

It took my 8 year old son about 3 hours, over 2 days to put this whole ship together. The instructions were easy to follow. When put together the set seems to be fairly durable.

As far as actual play value, I am not too sure about. I don't think it would hold up too well if playing with it. My son has his displayed in his room with his other Star Wars Lego sets.

Overall this is a pretty decent Star Wars Lego set. The price seems about right for the size of the ship and the mini figures are definitely a plus.

My nephew will be 5 in December and he is a Stars fanatic right now. I thought about buying it for him but I was concerned that it would be too much for a 5 year. How hard was it to put together? Would you reccomend this for a 5 year old?
