Legos: who can deny a kid these?

I recently reviewed Duplo blocks, and I need to throw in a review of Legos for good measure.

The small plastic blocks from Denmark are a part of almost every kid's childhood, I imagine. It is a crime not to if you can afford them.

I still have my Legos somewhere in the house. I haven't played with them in a long time, but I do know I used to always build big fleets of blocky cars with them. They were the ultimate in being able to simulate car damage by taking pieces off and leaving them around the city.

Here's what I have to say: You don't need to get the fancy Lego packages for your kid. Just get a bucket of Legos and imagination takes over.

Legos also come with little Lego people who can interact and, well, smash against the ground. The little heads pop off in the funniest ways. (What? I was a boy. Imagine your kid's destructive nature at the age of seven.)

Legos are one of those classic toys that need little introduction. Give a kid some Legos -- who can deny them?
