Lemon Scent Pine Sol Really Awful By Joan Young on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I recently reviewed regular Pine Sol, but when I bought a new bottle, I got Lemon Scent and didn't realize it. This was a BIG MISTAKE.
The first time I was using the Lemon Scent Pine Sol was when I was cleaning the stove in the apartment that I was recently hired to clean and paint. I was washing the oven, and the smell was so overpowering that I became concerned that the oven had been previously cleaned with an oven cleaner and not rinsed, so that I was concerned that toxic fumes were being produced. My throat started to burn, and I had to go outside to get some fresh air.
OK, so I rinsed everything down, opened a door, and proceeded. Things seemed to be better and I thought this was the end of it.
But later, I was washing out some other things in the bathtub, and experienced that same horrible overpowering smell. I had to go outside again, and get a cough drop to take the dry caustic feeling out of my throat. That's when I realized that I had bought the Lemon scented kind. The reaction had nothing to do with any combination of cleansers.
I'm not usually a person who has problems with being sensitive to stuff, although I will admit that I don't care for most perfumes or scented products. However, this whole experience was pretty strange and has to be somewhat real, since I didn't realize until after using the product for a couple of hours what the issue was.
Can I give this a negative rating on scent?
