I had bought this replacement battery a couple of years ago from Staples.com, and ever since, I've been highly satisfied as to the performance of the battery. It's indeed reliable, and I think it's safe to say that it's up there when you're comparing this battery in particular and of course, the original laptop battery that came with it upon purchase. The laptop happens to be an HP Pavilion DV6000, or more specifically, one of the best notebooks that I've ever owned. Shame the battery failed on me, though!

The battery itself, appearance-wise, is pretty simple-looking due to its straightforward black touch-up (I mean, c'mon, who'd be looking for ever-so-colorful notebook batteries?). However, it would have been nice if it were universal and were compatible with many other notebook brands out there as this one, according to the label, is only made to fit with either the DV6000, or the 2000. Additionally, the battery includes a 1-year warranty, something that laptop owners are usually concerned of whenever spending a good deal of money on such an accessory, or at least I am.

It's made out of lithium-ion (or Li-Ion), the same type that can only continue to increase in popularity in this day and age. Just knowing that one bit pretty much assured me that this was worth the near one hundred bucks, given that lithium-ion batteries, when not in use, tend to slowly, and I mean SLOWLY, lose battery power which is a good thing considering that other types, such as the highly common NiMH (Nickel-Metal Hydride), have the tendency of losing charge power rather too quickly.

Above all, should the day that this battery suddenly dies off arrive, there's no doubt in my mind that I'll be buying yet another one, since in my opinion, it's simply that good and worth every penny!
