Lennox Air Conditioning Heat Pump
By Jan Mayrhofer onEven though I live in the North West, our summers can get really hot! Not everyone around here has Air Conditioning like in California or other warm climates, but I sure am glad we invested in this system for our home! What a huge difference!
Now we don't dread the hot days anymore - though we tend to have more unexpected guests than we used to on the really hot ones! ; ). We have had the system almost exactly a year now. Two thingssurprised me about it:
1: Besides cooling our house in the summer heat, the heat pump is the most comfortable home heating I've ever experienced. When the temperature drops below 40 degrees, the old gas furnace kicks in and I sure do notice that that heat is not nearly as comfortable as the forced air electric of the heat pump. Basically, I just don't notice that the heat is on at all with the heat pump, I'm just comfortable.
2: Having the Central Air Conditioning increased the value of our home! We were pleasantly surprised when we had an appraisal recently. Our house appraised for a good $20,000.00 more than we expected it to!
If you have the means and opportunity, I highly recommend that you have this air conditioning/ heat pump installed in your home - I promise you won't regret it!
Frangipanni. I just found out that my local utility-SMUD, because I use a heat pump, put me on a different tier for billing, saving me at least a 100 a month! Something you might want to check into.
This is really good information. I like the energy savings as well as the fact that you don't notice it's there. That's a hallmark of something that works really well!

We just broke all records three days ago with 103 degree temp. Wow, was I happy to have A/C!!
