Reviewing: Msc International Mr. Potato Peeler
Purchased at: Home Goods     Price: $2.49 USD

Alright. If you saw this sitting on a shelf, staring back at you, how could you NOT put it in your cart?According to the package Mr. Potato is a quality stainless steel SPUDTACULAR peeler!:o)I read that and took one look at it his adorable little face and he made it into my cart.Yes I know, stores love me for my impulse buys...but he was only $2.49!

I found him at Home Goods and he was the last one of his kind so I wanted to give him a home.I believe he is from the same makers that make the little EGG guy into utensils, such as a measuring cup, whiskers, egg timer, etc.

I haven't had a chance to use Mr. Potato yet, he's currently sitting in my sink awaiting a bath.As soon as he's cleaned I have a couple potatos in my pantry so I'm gonna let him have at them.I will keep you all updated on his capability!

Update On May 17, 2008: So I finally got myself some potatos and used the Mr. Potato peeler for the first time.Sadly, he wasn't all that was cracked up to be.He peeled quite well, however after a couple of slices of the skin the blade would flip around and I'd have to re-adjust it.So that got quite annoying.I guess if the blade was a little tighter it would work great.I checked to see if there were any screws that could adjust it's tightness but there weren't any.So I guess this is more a cute novelty item and conversation starter versus a really good potato peeler.
