Let's Relive History By kaytidawg on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
This book was not what I expected when I bought it. Instead of being a novel, it is basically a collection of Barry's year in review columns, which can be seen in the newspaper the last week of December of each year.
He has compiled the columns from the years 2000 to 2006, hence the history of the millenium. There is a cute kind of prologue where he discusses ancient history up to this point, but it is only about 30 pages, the sum total of the original content.
Since these columns were based on the years in which they occured, much of the humor is lost when reading them after being removed by a year of more. Though Barry is always good for a laugh, and I am a huge fan of his work, I have to say I was disappointed in this book.
