Let's See... By Jennifer Tang on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

OK, I have two versions of Verizon's Music Essentials. One for the Samsung a930 and another for the LG Chocolate VX8500. It comes with a CD, headphones, and a USB cord.

At first I bought this because I thought it was the only way to put music on your cellphone. Once I got a memory card for my phone for less than half the cost of this, I didn't need Music Essentials to put music on my cell phone. The headphones for my Samsung a930 broke for no reason whatsoever so only one earpiece works! Durable? I think not!

The second time I bought this, it wasn't even out of free will. The only thing I needed was the USB cord so that I could transfer selfmade ringtones onto my cell phone. Unfortunately, Verizon is too money hungry to just sell these alone. Alone it costs less then $2 on Amazon. In the Music Essentials Kit, it's twelve times as expensive.

This product is good for what it does, but it really isn't needed all that much. You can find a driver for free online and you can get a USB cord on Amazon for cheap. Even the headsets are cheaper. At least those, Verizon sells separately.

Just skip this and get what you need online.
