Levaquin- Works for Some Not For Others

It is cold and flu season once again. I am one of those people who get sinus infections regularly. Recently I went to the doctor and he gave me some Levaquin 500mg samples. I have never taken them prior to this time. My aunt and grandmother have taken them and said they worked great for them. They unfortunately did not work for me. Why that is I am not sure. I know levaquin is a broad range anitbiotic and is used to treat every thing from respitory infections to UTI's and infections of the prostate. Like most medicines Levaquin has a wide range of possible side effect. I did not suffer from any of the side effects. I also did not get any better. I took Levaquin once a day for 7 days. They come in three different strengths- 250,500,750.I took the 500mg. My doctor also told me to make sure I drank plenty of water while on this medication. I think this is a pricey medication if you have to buy it. I was fortunate in getting the free samples. Levaquin has worked for some people I know, unfortunately they did not work for me.
