Lg 20 X Internal Super Multi Dvd Rewriter Review By Oliver Villegas on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I used to have a Toshiba-Samsung 16X DVD writer, but I switched to LG's GH20. It's a 20X Internal Super Multi DVD Rewriter, which means it supports DVD+R and DVD-R, DVD RAM, CD-R and CD-RW so you get the freedom to choose the media that suits your needs best. It even supports 8.5 GB Dual Layer DVDs.
Before buying this, make sure your computer motherboard supports serial ATA. Also, for Windows Vista, at least 512 MB of RAM is recommended. If you're running Windows Vista 64bit, then take note that the SecurDisc feature does not work on that operating system.
Features
LightScribe
Lightscribe is a complete and cost-effective system for labelling optical discs. Yes, you don't need to print the CD label, all you have to do is buy a LightScribe compatible disc, and after burning your DVD, simply flip the DVD over to "burn" the label on the other side of the disc! The print quality is that of silkscreen!
SecurDisc
SecurDisc is a technology for data protection and content access control on media. This keeps your data safe from unauthorized use. It allows password protection, digital signature, data integrity check, data reliability, and copy protection.
The package also includes an extra ivory bezel, so you can switch the color of your LG DVD drive to match the color of your desktop. It comes with 6 months warranty.
Overall, this DVD writer is definitely worth your money.

LG is also my choice for a DVD writer. This drive can last and can read practically anything easily.
Thanks for the feedback. LG really produces good optical drives.
