Life is Like a Box of Chocolates...

Because you never know what you're going to get!And just like life, you don't always like what you get.

I must confess that I have never really enjoyed getting boxed chocolates as a gift, for this very reason.I like my chocolate very plain:pure chocolate, chocolate with nuts, or chocolate fudge filled chocolate.(Stick to the good stuff, I say!)It is always a disappointment to bite into a chocolate and discover that it is only so-so quality, or filled with a poorly flavoured "fruit" filling.

So imagine my delight when I received THIS box of chocolates!

4 Milk Chocolate Truffles

4 Dark Chocolate Truffles

4 Almond Creams

4 Vanilla Caramels (Which were amazing!)

2 Almond Caramels

4 Chocolate Caramels

4 Pecan Caramel Clusters

And 2 Dark Chocolates with Hazelnuts

For the chocolate lover in me, it was a dream come true!Each one was delicious, and there wasn't a single disappointing bite.The truffles were creamy and smooth, the creams melted in your mouth, and the clusters had just the right amount of crunch.

At this point, I feel it necessary to clarify that I didn't eat the entire box myself!(Not...that I wouldn't have... if I'd had the chance...ahem *shifty eyes*)

Needless to say, these are the chocolates I'll be buying as gifts from now on.And I'll gladly welcome any more that come my way.=)
