Lightweight Sony handy cam video camera
By chesneychic onWe had been looking for a video camera and wanted one that was light weight and easy to use.We came across the Sony Handy cam DCR-HC28 which is a palm size camcorder. It takes mini dv tapes the camera came with a rechargeable lithium ion battery a cord for charging and a lens cap.The camera is very easy to use with a 2 inch LCD screen that is a touch screen and allows you to do a lot of the selections on the camera by selecting the items through the onscreen menu. The camera did not come with a built in light but does have the Sony night shot plus built in for filming in low to no light lighting. We have been using the camera for about six months now and the battery life on a full charge has always been more than one hour.
The camera is very lightweight and you can use either the LCD or color view finder for taping. The battery has smart technology in it that gives you an estimated time of how much battery charge is left. This helps prevent you from running out of battery during an important event. It also has a similar tape life meter that does the same thing. All the controls are conveniently positioned for easy reach. It even has a place at the bottom to mount to a tri pod if desired.

I've never owned a video camera, but it sounds like you like your Sony!
