Like wine, this wallet gets better with age
By RachelReviews onA relative of mine lives in the same town as a Tumi outlet. About 3 1/2 years ago, she gave me a Tumi light tan makeup zip-up and a dark merlot wallet.
I wasn't a big Tumi afficionado at the time or anything, so she told me that they made quality products that at retail prices were quite expensive. I think the wallet may have been around $9.99 at the outlet and the zip-up was a similar price. I checked around online and the retail price was $165 (!!).
The wallet is nylon, trimmed in leather. There is a little silver Tumi tag on the front. There is a pattern of Ts allover the front and back of the wallet which stands for the brand name. There are 6 card slots, and a generous spot for bills and a roomy area for coins.
3 1/2 years later, I am still using the same deep-berry colored wallet. Though, it looks worn and broken in, it looks pretty good for its age. I don't see myself buying a new one until this one falls apart. In fact, I like to wear things "to death." And why not? The zipper works; there are no tears or holes; the snaps works fine. I could see myself using it for 5 more years!
