Lincoln Ls By Green Umbrella By GreenUmbrella on - Updated Sep 26, 2011
When we first got this car, we were really excited. It looked sporty. Its V8 engine ran very smooth and it seemed to be a good value for the money. Now, years later, we are still kicking ourselves for choosing this car. The gas mileage is horrible. It only takes premium gas so not only are you filling up every week but you are also paying top dollar. It is reliable enough, no real problems with performance. I would not recommend this car if you have to drive through snow. It rides low and drives HORRIBLY through snow to the point that it seems dangerous. It slides everywhere and gets stuff very easily. The worst thing about this car is that it is very expensive to maintain. The fuel, the tires, insurance, etc. are all expensive and can not be avoided. It has been nothing but a big drain on us ever since we got it.

With me working in the Lincoln Mercury business I have to disagree with you. If you would have gotten a newer LS like 2004 or 2006 which was the last year they were made you would have been happier with the gas mileage. But now that gas prices have gone down I am sure you are happy abou tthat. I do not own a LS, but do own a moutaineer and I am very happy with it.
for me fuel consumption is the one important factor to see before buying a car
