Lincoln Memorial; Washington Dc By TKDDad on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The Lincoln Memorial is a must see in the Washington, DC area.

The monument is beautiful. Walking up the steps is impressive. Once you get at the top be sure to turn around, there is a very amazing view of the other monuments and the reflecting pool.

We had a little trouble getting there. The city is very busy, which mean a lot of traffic. We ended up parking near the Washington Monument and walked across to Lincoln Memorial. Next time though we will take the Metro, which is a public transportation system.

Abraham Lincoln has always been a president I have been interested in. I enjoyed the Lincoln Memorial. There was a tour available but I preferred just to walk around myself so I could really take the time to read and look at everything. There are many things to read and look at. I learned interesting facts about Lincoln that I did not know before.

I enjoyed my time at Lincoln Memorial. I feel a trip to Washington, DC isn't complete without a stop at this impressive Monument.
