Lincoln's Ghost Legends And Lore By Jenn Huffer on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

While I was spending a weekend in Springfield, Ill I wanted to go on a Ghost walk. I wanted to take the Dead Walk but my mother was alittle intimidated by that one so we decided to go on the Legends and Lore walk. Our tour guide was a man by the name of Garret Moffett. While on the tour he mentioned that there was a book thathe had written that was baised off of the Legends and Lore Walk. When I got home I looked for the book and found it for $11 on Amazon.com. The book is pretty much everything that was talked about on the walking tour with a few more details of each. The book explains some of the legends and Lore that surround Abraham and Mary Lincoln while in Springfield and in Washington D.C. The book talks about footsteps heard, Shadowed figures seen and a LOT of the history and facts that surround the strange parts of Abraham Lincoln such the fact that his casket was opened 5 times before it was perminatly placed in the crept that it in Springfield today. The book covers The Lincoln-Herndon Law Office and the Old State Capital Building, The First Presbyterian Church and Lincoln's Christian Beliefs, The Lincoln Family Home and The White House, Mary's Insanity Trial and Her Final Days, Lincoln's Farewell and Return on Board The Lincoln Special and Skullduggery and Mysteries of the Tomb. The book is only in paperback and is 75 pages long. I plan on getting the book Autographed the next time I make a trip to Springfield.
