Reviewing: Linksys 5 Port Network Everywhere Hub
Purchased at: Walmart

This is the 2nd Linksys Network Everywhere 10/100 5 port hub that I have owned and if I need another, it is what I would by again. The only reason I am on my 2nd one is the same reason I did not give the product a 5 on my overall rating. It is made of lightweight plastic, good, yes, unless it gets dropped or falls off the desk. The back area of my first one cracked right where the power cord plugged in, and it no longer held the cord.Besides the design flaw for the clumsy, this hub does a great job.I have 3 computers linked to my broadband cable modem via the Linksys Hub.I know the link is active because it has flashing lights to let you know that it is working. My Linksys Hub even survived a lightening strike that went underground through our cable lines! My modem and motherboard were fried, but the Linksys Hub kept on going! If that doesn't show you that it is a high quality product that does it's job well, I'm not sure what would!

Linksys makes great routers, though not sure I wouldnt have rather the router take the lightning hit than the motherboard :)

I'm amazed it survived the lightning strike that fried your motherboard. Must be very stable to withstand that.
