Linksys wireless G router

The Linksys wireless G 2.4 GHz broadband router is a great router if you're interested in setting up a wireless network in your home. It's very affordable at less than $100.

My Cable interenet provider wanted to come set up another high speed connection (which was totally unnecessary given the fact that I already have another room that has a cable drop right off of the first splitter in the attic - with a signal strong enough to support cable internet), sell me another modem and charge me a higher monthly fee to have internet in another room.

I circumvented the issue by purchasing the router, installing software and presto - we have a wireless network in the house which supports our second desktop upstairs. The signal is plenty strong enough and the surfing is plenty fast. Also, we now have a network that can be accessed by laptops in the home with wireless capability.

It was a great investment.
