Reviewing: Listerine Whitening Pre Brush Rinse

I regularly purchase Listerine.I received a free sample ( a 16 ounce bottle) of the whitening pre-brush rinse with the purchase of a liter of listerine.

I brought it home, not all that excited about using a moutwash before and after I brushed, but curious to see how it would work.I got the little convient measuring cap/bottle cap out, filled it up and swished away.I was pleasantly suprised by the bubbles that seemed to work their way through the cracks and crevices of my teeth. My mouth felt really refreshed. In fact it felt really clean.I went on to brush then use the regular listerine and although three steps seem like a lot, I completed the whole routine in about four mintues.

My mouth felt cleaner, but it didn't seem whiter.I used the product for about two weeks (the sample ran out) and although I felt like my mouth was fresher, I didn't really feel like my teeth were any whiter.I have not gone out and bought the product, but would use it again if I recieved another free sample.

Interesting product. Free is always good!

My wife loves this product, but I couldn't handle the notion of having to pre-rinse before brushing - just doesn't feel right to me. However, my wife says she does see some whitening effect, so I guess it works.

Sounds like just mouthwash with a "Whitening" name. Hmmm...thanks for the heads up on this. :-)

Very good information to know. They come out with so many of these whitening products that I always wonder which ones actually work. The process does seem a little long too but it would be worth it if it worked. Thanks for letting me know about this. I will know to try another brand for whitening.

I have used this in the past, I am neutral on it still.

I forgot to ask in my comment about the flavor? Is it medicinal like the original Listerine?

I use Listerine regularly but think this is just another way for them to push up their profit margin. A good brush, a rinse and some floss is enough.

I do not use regualr listerine because I never liked the taste and the burn. I did try the new versions of it and had the same problem. I was curious about this new product too but since the taste of the other listerine products turned me off I was afraid to try it. You did say that it leaves your mouth clean and refreshed and that you also use regular listerine so can you tell me if the taste is as strong or if it has the burn.
