Lite Brite White Flat Screen By Georgia Sawhook on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Having the grandchildren over the house, I am always looking for some way to entertain them. So I remember the Lite Brite my own children had growing up. It allows them to be artistic and use their imagination while creating something that lights up and looks pretty.

It comes with about 10 or 15 predesigned sheets which show the child which colored peg to put in. There are also some plain sheets that you can use to create your own design or picture. There's about 8 different colored pegs to choose from.

It says that it's for children 4 or up, but I think 5 would be a better age to start. I checked and you can buy packages with 15 extra sheets for $3.99 and also 100 peg replacements for $3.99. That's good because years ago you couldn't do that and once the papers were gone or the pegs were lost, the kid lost interest in it. I have found that the replacement papers can be bought under different popular themes that would interest the child as well.
