Little Tikes Slide Climber By DeDee on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

I love this slide/climber. I was lucky enough to get this for 25.00 at a yard sale a few years ago. My daughter used it for a couple years. As it is the perfect side for little climbers. I would say around ages 2 until there motor skills get well enough to use a bigger slide. My daughter however was able to use the stairs on this at age 1 1/2. Each child I would say varies to their abilities. This slide can take a beating. It is very durable. Our two younger children enjoy the little walk in and out fort under neath the unit. The stairs are easy to get grip. The top platform has holes that my children used to help pull themselves up onto the platform with ease. The other great thing about this slide is it is a nice colourful plastic and we bring in downstairs to the basement toy room for the children to use in the winter time. I believe this is even worth the money brand new. But I would see if you can find one cheaper on a garage sale website or newspaper in your area.

Great to get such deals at garage sales. I see them all the time but with no little kids I just pass them by. Little Tikes hold up well which must be why they eventually find there way to these sales. This was your gain and glad to hear it had lots of use left. Like that you bring it in for the winter, great idea!! Thanks for sharing :O)

I love these smaller sets. It gives the tiniest children a chance to feel like they are accomplishing something if they can climb up or slide down all by themselves. Only thing is that I find they grow out of this size too fast. What a great find you have...nice price!

It's amazing what you can find at yard sales! These little units go for upwards of $100 for some models! I love how durable they are--kind of like Timex "take a licking and keep on ticking"!

What a steal! We've wanted a climber like this for our daughter but I don't want to pay hundreds for it. Guess I'll scout some more yard sales!
