Littlest Pet Shop Get Better Center
By houseishot onI expected better from the Littlest Pet Shop Get Better Center! This was on my daughter's Christmas wish list and Santa kindly brought it for her.We love all of our Littlest Pet Shop sets, but I didn't feel that there was enough to do in the Get Better Center to justify a $19.99 price tag.Really, it is just like all the other little houses and sets that open up, only it has a vet theme. You get an x-ray machine and a lot of tiny little veterinarian accessories, but there is really nothing major to do.You can just keep taking x-rays for so long before there are no more bones that could possibly be broken in your Littlest Pet Shop community.
You also received a gecko with this set who's spots were supposed to disappear when warmed.Supposedly if you hold him in your hands, the heat would make the spots disappear and you could pretend the heat lamp did this.Well, I don't know if we got a defective one or what, but a gentle rub was not doing a thing for those spots. You had to do the start a fire with two sticks type of rubbing to get them to fade a little.I'd say that was a bit frustrating for my daughter as she thought that looked really cool on the commercial.
Unless your child is seriously into playing vet with her pets, I would probably skip this set and opt for one of the other Littlest Pet Shop playsets that delivers more bang for your buck.I would recommend the Whirl Around Playground instead.

I bought my daughter a littlest pet shops motel thing for Christmas. Didn't know about the vet clinic.
The play ground is my daughters favorite. This is great for a 7 year old. A large tupper ware tub keeps all her little animals and accessories safe. She has 25!
Interesting how some sets in a series just get it right and others don't. Seems like they could have thought of some other fun accessories.
There was plenty to do...ya gotta use your imagination but I do agree that $19.99 is a little steep for a toy that has no flashing lights or beeping noises.
