L.L. Bean Deluxe Bookpack
By Couldbeme onL. L. Bean has been around for a long time and they are one of the best names in the country for products that are long lasting and endure a lot of strenuous use. This is one of the main reasons that attracted me to this brand. Another, wasboth of my childrenslugging needs,and also how popular their Deluxe Book Pack was at the School they attended.
It seemed to me that every other kid at school, either had this bag, or a JanSport bag. I decided that I would try this bag because of the L.L. bean long standing name.My Children needed something that would hold up well at the bus stop and during the before school, recess. I needed a bookpack that would be easy on my pocketbook. Both of my childrenhave had the L. L. Bean Deluxe Book Pack for 3 years now, but Im sure that you wouldnt be able to tell how old they were unless you looked very closely. This has made me very happy,as it has become very easy on my pocketbook!!
This bag has several compartments. At the back there is a huge main compartment where they usually placed all of their textbooks and a couple of folders. In middle there is another, smaller main compartment in which I put their (l.l. bean) lunch box.
In addition to these pockets, there is a huge front section, with a very nice organizational panel, in which you can place your pencil, pens, calculator, and even a small notebook or voice recorder. Ive found that this organization pocket is excellent for easy access and I really love the fact that on the front of this pocket, there is another smaller accessory pocket in which you can carry a couple of smaller items.
The straps on this bag are fully adjustable and they adjust to any height. They are also padded for added comfort.
Another important feature of this bag is that it has a very nice hip clip belt. It is perfect, because, I would like for my children to stand up straight, as grown adults!
The load is equally distributed between the shoulders and also the hips.
I think that this pack is excellent for any student, from elementary school to early high school, because it allows them to carry so much stuff on their back and it really holds up well in all kinds of weather and adverse conditions.
I especially love the stripe on the front of the accessory pocket because it is made of a teflon reflective material, so that if youre walking to the bus stop in the dark, drivers and other motorists can actually see you.
The only drawback that I can think of is, that if the bag is really loaded with a lot of books and other stuff, it can be extremely bulky, especially for the little ones. You really must pack wisely!
Overall, I highly recommend this bag to anyone who needs a high quality daypack for their carrying needs. This pack will hold up really well for years, even for your elementary school boys!
My kids backpacks keep falling apart because they drag them on the ground. Maybe I should look into these.
I think I may have to check out LL Bean for a book back next school year for my son. His backpacks barely last a school year because they are cheaply made. I would love to find a better made backpack. Sounds like LL Bean might be the answer
When I hear of L.L. Bean, I think of things that are durable & quality made. This backpack sounds just like those qualities!

I love the reflective strip and hip belt... nice safety features to have on a child's bookpack. When my son is a bit older, I'll remember to look at LL Bean!
LL Bean makes some great products. Glad that they continue to do so and you found a great backpack.
LL Bean products last for such a long time. All the products I have purchased from them were top quality. This backpack sounds great for keeping everything organized. I like the idea of the clip belt, too. Kids have so many books to carry around these days. And the reflective strip is a great safety feature!
