Logitech MX 518 Optical Gaming Mouse

We got this mouse early last year. I had to install the software to get it to work. For several months it worked very well. This coreded mouse was meant for gaming, I don't play games very much but I really liked the grip and the speed of the mouse at the time. Some people who have used it around the house complain about the buttons on the side. They constantly accidentally press it and they are taken back to the previous page that the were in. I never had a problem with it, I just tell them don't press it but they do anyway (especially kids). It's not my fault that they have unusually large thumbs.

But lately I've been having my own problems with the mouse. Sometimes it just shuts off and I can't use the mouse, a couple of seconds later it will turn itself back. Other times you have to take the plug off and put it back on again for it to work. It's very frustrating.

Since then we've replace it with a new mouse and even though it was plugged in at the same spot the previous mouse was, we haven't had any problems with it.
