Logitech Mx610: Smooth, Sleek And Speedy By Adam Hollett on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

After my corded Logitech mouse died, I decided to try something without a cord.

What a good decision that was. Cordless mice offer much more freedom than their tethered brethren, and this one is no exception. The Logitech MX 610 is a lovely mouse that fits perfectly in my hand and performs beutifully. It comes with a small USB receiver that plugs into any free USB port on your computer. When I began using the mouse I plugged this into the back of my PC, but from time to time I would experience my cursor jumping or slowing a little. Moving the receiver to the front of my PC solved this problem, and I have had no complaints since. This mouse boasts a lot of buttons - 10 that I can count. There is a scroll wheel, front/back navigation buttons, volume controls, and e-mail and IM notifcation buttons. The IM button will keep an eye on Windows Messenger and glow when you recieve a message. Pressing the button will open the message. This is more eye candy than anything, but it is still a nice feature. Another aspect I was impressed with is the battery life. The mouse takes 2 AA batteries, but one pair of batteries, expecially if rechargable, will easily last you over a week of heavy use. If you have a battery charger then replacing the batteries is not an issue whatsoever.

For a comfortable, attractive mouse that performs well, choose the Logitech MX 610.

Sounds like a good mouse but I think the battery use could be better.
