Look and Learn: Bear Dreams: Learn to Read is an educational DVD designed for children aged 3 to 7. In the DVD, a puppet named Kool Kat reads aloud two stories about Barefoot Bear and his misadventures. Barefoot bear learns valuable friendship lessons.

The DVD only contains still pictures of the book pages and not actual animation, so it might not be so entertaining for an older child. My daughter seemed to enjoy this video very much, at first, but got bored after awhile. I'm sure she was expecting a cartoon or something that compared to Leap Frog.

This DVD is supposed to be a read along with the story book words on the screen, so the child can read along, but this feature was missing from my DVD. Overall, I'd give this DVD a very low rating due to the fact that it contained little educational value. I had purchased the DVD with the anticipation of being able to help my daughter learn to read. But, no such luck. I returned this DVD to the place where I bought it.
