Look at the stars!
By ooncha onever wanted to explor ethe cosmos? But you knew it be too much of a hassle to buy an expensive telescope, learn how to use and what to look for, and just finding the time to do all this! When I was a kid, I had an interesting in astronomy, and I even took an astronomy class in high school. But i couldn't ever be able to go to star parties or continue my subscriptions to Astronomy magazine.
Until Microsoft decided to lauch this free application and i discovered it through a blog. Wow it's probably the best thing I've downloaded! You open it up and you'll see a 3D globe of the night sky. You can turn and zoom in like you would on a telescope. You can view stars anywhere! Ther'e not *fake* either, you can tell that the globe is made up of telescope images put together. And not only stars either! On top and on the bottom are categories and lists of all possible space objects you ever wanted to see! When you click on an object like Jupiter, it'll automatically turn to where it is, and zoom in! You'll need internet because it'll download images as you zoom in to get the best and highest quality image of that particular area you are looking at. And there's even an option to look at the stars through xray, microwave, gamma, etc! it's quite interesting!
there's also a tab for guided tours which you can download and watch. There's already tours on the software and how to use it. One of them shows you how you can witness and watch an eclipse!!! There are other tours that are made by others that are worth watching. And you can also watch this youtube video on this software!

sounds cool...I'll have to check this out.
Now, you can enjoy the stars come rains and thunders. And right at the comfor t at your home. Microsoft really score on this one.
