Lost In Translation By Feezle on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

Every once in a while, you find a movie that proves that sometimes, having a plot is overrated. Lost in Translation is one such movie. The first time I watched it, I kept waiting for the point. When the end credits started, I felt as though I had wasted a couple hours of my life. The second time around, I realized that my constant focus on trying to find the plot killed my first viewing. This movie is a work of art. Bill Murray and Scarlett Johanson play two people visiting Tokyo for very different reasons. They both suffer from the same thing however...loneliness. This movie is both depressing and uplifting at the same time. I think pretty much anyone can relate to these characters as they try to find purpose in something that seems to have none...their lives. There is a reason Lost in Translation won so many awards. Put it on your must-see list!

I was so excited about this movie since I am a Japanese translator but was disappointed. I couldn't even finish the first half!
