Love at first sight
By Chris Kong onSaw this laptop at the PC fair , loved the ruby red covered lid and fall in love with it at first sight. If not for tight budget at the moment , I would have bought it straight away. It comes with 2GB DDR2 667MHz RAM. TrueLife 144X900 resolution LCD screen , 120GB 5400rpm hard disk drive . Window Vista Home premium. 9 cell battery, built in webcam and microphone , built in 8 in 1 card reader and Intel 802.11 a/b/g wireless card. It also come with magnesium alloy material which is better than the plastics in their older model.
Weight and thickness wise it is not light or thin because of the 9 cell battery. The battery can play 4 hours of DVD so I won't mind the extra weight especially when we are on the go. It is a near prefect laptop except for the microphone which is not that good. Other than that it almost scored a prefect score on my ranking.

It sounds like a great laptop AND it's ruby red!!!
I have an extreme prejudice against Dell laptops. The ones we have at work are for the most part, well, crap. Probably because the company keeps "recycling" them and shifting them to less techy type divisions. I'm glad to hear that others have good experiences with them.
Dell has some good laptops, but they also have terrible service, just hope you don't need them for support help. Your honest review of the laptop helps to give insight to a purchase of the product.
