Love My Dodge Caliber! By marnm02 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I bought my Caliber in July. I was in need of a vehicle that got good gas mileage, yet also had a lot of cargo space. Since I'm a traveling sales rep, I drive very often, long distances, and need to carry a lot of equipment.
This car has not let me down. I've already put 15,000 miles on it and it still runs as great as it did the day I bought it. It's very manuverable and easy to handle.
I'm also very happy with the interior. It's stylish and comfortable. I really like that the shifter is up high on the dash. This way I'm not bumping my arm into it all the time. The mp3 jack on the dash and CD player (both standard) are also great for when I make my long trips. The seats are very comfortable too.
The only bad thing I can think of about this car is that it seems to get pushed around very easy in the wind. I get scared driving over a bridge on a windy day, and I'm sure this will start to become more of a problem once winter comes and it gets slippery. I'm thinking they probably had to make it very light weight to give it such good gas mileage...because it definately is not has heavy as it looks, and the wind does blow it around.
Overall, I'm a very happy customer.

I have not heard of this type of vehicle. I went to the website so I could get a picture of it. It looks very stylish and practical. I like how the seats fold forward to allow for you to transport larger items. This is not like the station wagons I remember! Nice looking vehicle!
It sounds like a great car. I do also hate the way the lighter cars get pushed around... that really bothers me. I am not sure exactly what you could to stop the wind, but get a good pair of tires for the winter to ensure that you are getting a good grip on the road.
My husband loves how sleek these cars look! Just from looking at the Caliber, you would never know that it would blow around in the wind-hold tight to those steering wheels!!!
I have problems with the wind with my Sky as well, and driving in winter is awful.
You sure make a wise choice and found a car that serves all the purposes: got good gas mileage, a lot of cargo space, can go long distances, and can carry a lot of equipment.
Glad you like your Caliber! It's a nice car.
Sounds like just what you needed to get you where you need to go.
The Dodge Caliber is a cool looking car and it always turns our heads when we see it on the road. I really like it.
